“If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn’t need to lug around a camera.”

About My Photography

When I was young, I would spend a lot of time looking at the photographs in National Geographic Magazines. Of course one image that stood out was the photograph of Sharbat Gula by Steve McCurry. Images like that made me want to be a National Geographic photographer too. I got my first camera when I was about 13 years old. Documenting people was and is interesting to me. I imagine that is because I am interested in people and love hearing their stories and documenting them.

After I graduated from school, I moved to NYC to do an internship for Maria Robledo. She was one of the pioneers of the the natural light photography movement for food and editorial photography. In recent years, I have combined my love of photography and chocolate to photograph chocolate makers, chocolate festivals, cacao farms and people involved in chocolate.

Capturing the Sweetest Memories

Through my photography, I strive to transport you to those cherished moments – a romantic dinner where chocolate fondue becomes the medium of love, a family gathering sweetened by grandma’s famous chocolate cake, or the sheer delight in a child’s eyes at the sight of a chocolate fountain. Each photograph is a testament to the joy that chocolate brings into our lives.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHOmBV4js_E

“A good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it. It is, in a word, effective.”

– Irving Penn

“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”

– Karl Lagerfeld

Pictures With Personality

“It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.”

– Paul Caponigro

Too often we photograph poses, not people. My goal is to take photographs that show personalities, memories and emotions, not poses. Do you need someone to photograph your festival, event or origin trip? I would love to talk with you.

“It is more important to click with people
than to click the shutter.”

– Alfred Eisenstaedt
